Role Overview
We're looking for a talented Senior Backend Engineer to design, develop, and maintain scalable backend systems that power reliable and high-performing digital products. In this position, you'll work closely with frontend engineers, product managers, and other technical teams to build robust services, APIs, and backend infrastructure. You'll help shape technical architecture while ensuring security, performance, scalability, and maintainability.
Responsibilities
Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services, APIs, and applications.
Build reliable systems that support high-performance and growing product requirements.
Collaborate with frontend engineers, product managers, and cross-functional teams to deliver backend solutions.
Design and optimize databases, data models, and backend architectures.
Develop secure and well-documented RESTful APIs and service integrations.
Improve application performance, reliability, scalability, and overall system stability.
Troubleshoot complex technical issues and resolve production incidents efficiently.
Implement automated testing, monitoring, logging, and deployment processes.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
5+ years of experience in backend software engineering.
Strong proficiency in languages such as Python, Java, Go, Node.js, or similar technologies.
Strong experience with relational and non-relational databases.
Hands-on experience with big data tools such as Apache Spark, Hadoop, or Kafka.
Familiarity with cloud platforms like AWS (Redshift, S3), Azure, or Google Cloud.
Experience with data warehouses (e.g., Snowflake, BigQuery) and ETL/ELT tools.
Knowledge of data modeling, schema design, and pipeline best practices.
Experience with CI/CD workflows for data pipelines.
Strong problem-solving, debugging skills, and a proactive mindset.
